I’m Jessica Batt, the person behind Nova North. I live and work on a cattle operation in Mackenzie County, northern Alberta, where we raise purebred Shorthorns and commercial cattle. The places, animals, and everyday work around here are a big part of what I photograph.
I create images of the real things that happen in this area — kids’ sports, local events, families, ranch life, and the northern landscape — both from the ground and from the air.
